5:30PM Walking Tour Includes Stops At:

The Gallery at City Hall presents Seeing Beauty in Transition – paintings and photographs by Karen Harris and Tom Wedell that explore themes of transition, endurance, and renewal through the life cycle of leaves. The artists invite viewers to consider time as transformation, where decay, memory, and renewal coexist. On view March 19 - May 18, 2026.

AS220 Empire Street Galleries (Main & Aborn Galleries) – Located in the heart of AS220’s Empire Street Complex, the Main Gallery shares space with the Main Stage concert venue and typically features two artists each month. Upstairs, the Aborn Gallery is a curated exhibition space centering critical issues and uplifting artists of color, emerging artists, and elder artists in Rhode Island.

AS220 Mathewson Street Galleries (Project Space & Reading Room) – At the Dreyfus building, the Project Space hosts one artist per month and accommodates both 2D and large-scale 3D work. The Reading Room is AS220’s most intimate gallery space, inviting viewers into a close, contemplative experience with the artwork.

Haus of Codec Gallery – A curated exhibition space focusing on critical issues presented by artists from our New England communities. Haus of Codec provides opportunities for participants to showcase their work while building professional skills and creative momentum.

REGISTER IN ADVANCE OR SHOW UP THE NIGHT OF!

While we encourage guests to reserve spots in advance via Givebutter, walk-ups for walking tours are always welcome! For advanced sign-ups, we ask that you donate when you check out for the convenience of guaranteeing your spot on the tour of your choice ahead of time.

Accessibility Notes:

Many of the Gallery Night art spaces are wheelchair accessible. However, the buses we hire for Gallery Night cannot accommodate wheelchairs.

All tours involve some walking and some stops may include stairs.

We invite wheelchair users to enjoy self-guided tours on Gallery Night.

Helpful Notes for the Night of the Event:

We recommend arriving at the Graduate 15-10 minutes before your tour time. One of our volunteers will be at a podium with a Gallery Night banner near the main entrance to check you in and answer any questions.

If your plans change, please cancel your Givebutter reservation so that someone else can enjoy the tour.

Tours occasionally run late, so we recommend allowing buffer time if you’re planning to attend another event afterward.
