The juror for this exhibit, Annu Palakunnathu Matthew, is a Professor of Art (Photography) at the University of Rhode Island and is represented by sepiaEYE, NYC.
Annu’s work has been widely exhibited in national and international venues and will be featured in the upcoming 2018 Kochi-Muziris Biennale. Her work was recently featured at the MFA Boston and has been supported by fellowships from the Fulbright Program, John Gutmann Trust, Society for Photographic Education, MacColl Johnson fund and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts. RIPCA was founded to inspire creative development and provide opportunities to engage with photography through exhibitions, publications, education, and mutual support. We strive to advance our members’ careers, strengthen the appreciation of all photo-based media, and foster dialogue around innovation in the arts. Our talented member photographers come from both commercial and fine art backgrounds both local and international. RICPA is a non- profit resource center led by dedicated volunteers. We run a full calendar of professional workshops, juried, group, and individual artist exhibits, open salons, and member support events throughout the year. All exhibitions are free and open to the public.
RIPCA is located in downtown Providence, at 118 North Main Street, 2nd floor.
