About The Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts:

The Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts exists to support contemporary voices in Photography. We are a member supported resource center formed to promote appreciation of photography in the community and expand opportunities for our members.

RICPA was founded to inspire creative development and provide opportunities to engage with photography through exhibitions, publications, education, and mutual support. We strive to advance our members’ careers, strengthen the appreciation of all photo-based media, and foster dialogue around innovation in the arts. Our talented member photographers come from both Commercial and Fine Art backgrounds both local and international. RICPA is a nonprofit resource center led by dedicated volunteers. We run a full calendar of professional workshops, juried, group,

and individual artist exhibits, open salons, and member support events throughout the year. All exhibitions are free and open to the public.

RICPA is located in downtown Providence, at 118 North Main Street, 2nd floor. Around the corner from the Providence Art Club and across the street from XO Cafe. The gallery is open Thursdays and Fridays from 1-4pm, Saturdays from 1-6 pm and by appointment. Email or call (401) 400-2542 for more
