March is our major retrospective exhibition Making Her Mark: Women Artists of the Providence Art Club 1880.
This show will run March 5 - 30 and will feature artworks by the founding generation of women artists from the Art Club. The Club was the first organization of its kind to be co-founded by men and women. The newly renovated Maxwell Mays and Mary Castelnovo Galleries will feature artworks by women art makers active at the Art Club's founding in 1880. The Dodge House Gallery will feature exciting and rarely seen objects from the Club's archives dating back to 1880. This exhibition is part of a three month series celebrating women artists that will conclude in April with our open juried show celebrating contemporary women artists from across the United States.
