Sarah Jane Lapp, Mary Jane Andreozzi and S. Tudyk @ ArtProv

Three Distinct Exhibits at ArtProv Gallery

Current Exhibits Will be Open for Gallery Night Providence on May 17

ArtProv Gallery will host three unique exhibits starting April 4, 2018, that will run through May 26, 2018.

  • Planet SJ!, a show of vibrant paintings and playful, whimsical animation and the hand drawings behind them by magic maker Sarah Jane Lapp. For Lapp, both mediums involve a process of making moving images.

  • Voice in the Woods, with Mary Jane Andreozzi’s nature-inspired wax crayon drawings and paintings on wood, some of which are combined for the first time with the craftsmanship of Phil Gruppuso from Seekonk Woodworking.

  • An Improving View, featuring the works of S. Tudyk, who draws inspiration from her surroundings as well as her thoughts and memories. In these works, she explores the process of fragmentation, applied to both memory and matter. “While the three artists approach their work from different perspectives and with different tools, what unites the shows are the artists’ shared love of the organic processes and the passionate inspiration behind their work,” said Michele Aucoin, gallery co-owner.

An opening reception will be held Friday, April 6, 2018, from 5-9 p.m. The gallery will also be open from 5-9 p.m. for Gallery Night Providence on April 19, 2018, and May 17, 2018. Check the website for weekly hours and events. For more information, visit, call 401-641-5182 or email
